Why You Have to Visit The Little White House on Your Next Key West Trip
Headed to the keys? Beyond the pristine beaches and fantastic restaurants, here's an important pit stop to make: The Harry S. Truman Little White House.
Located at 111 Front Street, the historic home served as the winter White House of President Harry S. Truman. As Laura Ratliff reported in a guide to Key West for Condé Nast Traveler, the attraction is well worth adding to your Florida Keys itinerary. "The house has been restored as it was in 1949, showcasing well-preserved rooms where the Trumans lived, worked, and relaxed during their time in Key West," writes Ratliff. "The house is open 365 days a year; tours, which are included in the admission, offer additional insight into Truman's presidency." The property is open 9:00am to 4:30pm and tours run every 20 minutes. For more information or to buy your tickets, visit trumanlittlewhitehouse.com.
