In sad TV-related news today, Tyra Banks just revealed her plans to step back as a host on Dancing With the Stars. The supermodel broke the story to TMZ as she was on her way out of a Santa Monica Whole Foods, which, iconic!

"I feel it's really time for me to focus on my business and my entrepreneurship, and also producing more TV—but behind the scenes," Tyra dished to the outlet before explaining why she's leaving DWTS. "I think it's time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor...From the ballroom to the boardroom!" The businesses Tyra is referring to, you ask? It might be her ice cream business SMiZE and Dream, which she launched internationally in 2021.

"I think my heart, my soul is into my business, it's also into producing new TV," she continued. "I really, really wanna focus on my business and you can't do that hosting a show, so you'll see me creating things, not just hosting."

A lil refresher for ya: Tyra first joined Dancing With the Stars as a host during the show's 29th season back in 2020—a bombshell announcement that simultaneously resulted in Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews's departure.

"I've been a fan of DWTS since its beginning...The fun mixed with raw emotion, seeing celebrities push past their comfort zones, the sizzling dance performances...It's always transported me to my days of turning it up 10 notches on the catwalk," Tyra, who also doubled as an executive producer on the series, said at the time per TV Insider.

During Tyra's time on the show, she amassed tons of supporters but others were quick to criticize the celeb—namely, after she messed up her lines early on as the show's host. Following the incident, the supermodel took to TikTok to address the haters critics.

"Tonight I hosted the second episode of Dancing With the Stars and yeah, it wasn't perfect," confessed the America's Next Top Model alum. "Yeah, I had a lot of fun but I messed up, I said the wrong words, but the thing is I kept, kept going." Ily, Tyra 😭.
