Travis Kelce, Scott Swift and Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift may potentially be in the phase of dating where they want the other's parents to be impressed by them (or like them, at the very least), so the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is making sure he covers his basis.

Over the weekend, the NFL star had the opportunity to hang out with his new girlfriend's dad Scott Swift, as the two attended the pop star's international Eras Tour concert together in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Saturday night, Nov. 11.

Video footage from the event shows the two supportive men happy as clams alongside one another, enjoying the concert and even singing along. At one point, during the part of the performance where the singer (now, famously) tweaked her "Karma" song lyrics to align with her blossoming relationship, Scott celebrated the major move by attempting to give Travis a high-five.

However, Kelce was so visibly awe-struck by the moment, that he totally missed out on the opportunity to share in the excitement with Taylor's dad.

On the Nov. 15-released episode of the Kelce brothers' podcast, New Heights, the 34-year-old's big bro jokingly teased him about what took place, which was documented by a nearby fan and shared via social media.

"You were so shocked, you left Scott hanging," Jason Kelce joked. "Scott's over here looking for a high-five..."

Chuckling, Travis admitted to the missed opportunity, issuing an apology to his girlfriend's father. "Yeah... Mr. Swift, I apologize, big guy. Ah man, I missed that," he said, adding, "I never miss a high-five, too... [I'm a] big high-five guy. It's the most electric thing you can do at an event. So, sorry Mr. Swift."

The Philadelphia Eagles star even called out Travis for allegedly persuading the "Bad Blood" singer's dad to switch over his support for teams—from his own squad, the Eagles, to his younger brother's, the Chiefs—as Scott was spotted wearing a Kansas City lanyard at the concert.

All in all, the Catching Kelce alum wrapped up his experience traveling abroad, expressing what a good time he had while in Argentina for his first visit. "For those of you who haven't seen all the videos of me on your TikTok and your Instagram feed, I was enjoying myself down there in Buenos Aires. The show was even more electric knowing that I had a little bit more to enjoy it for, and um, yeah. Taylor absolutely ripped it, she killed it; looks like she was having some fun up there," he said.
