Taylor Swift was noticeably absent from the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet and ceremony.

The "Anti-Hero" singer was nominated for Best Original Song for "Carolina," her contribution to Where the Crawdads Sing.

Swift, 33, lost out to composer M.M. Keeravani, Kala Bhairava and Rahul Siligunj's "Naatu Naatu" from the film RRR. It was the first time ever that an Indian movie won a Golden Globe, beating out not just Swift, but also Lady Gaga ("Hold My Hand" from Top Gun: Maverick) and Rihanna ("Lift Me Up" from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) for the honor.

Swifties speculated that their beloved Blondie was too busy rehearsing for her upcoming Eras tour to attend the ceremony.

Last week, Swift confirmed in an Instagram Story that rehearsals for her Eras tour had begun—while also, naturally, advertising to her fans yet even more editions of her album Midnights.

In the lead-up to and immediately following the release of Midnights in October 2022, Swift hit the awards circuit hard, including the MTV Video Music Awards, the American Music Awards, the MTV Europe Music Awards and more.

Swift was recently shut out of Oscar nominations for her All Too Well short film, but may still snag a nod for "Carolina" for Best Original Song.

She was previously nominated for the Best Original Song Golden Globe in 2020 for "Beautiful Ghosts" from the ill-fated cinematic adaptation of Cats.

She was also nominated in 2014 for "Sweeter Than Fiction" from One Chance.
