Why Playing Enola Holmes Made Millie Bobby Brown Afraid to Film “Stranger Things”

It-girl Millie Bobby Brown's new movie, Enola Holmes 2, is set to drop on Netflix this Friday, November 4. While the 18-year-old multihyphenate has expressed her love for Enola and described her as "more mature, hectic, and loud" in the film's sequel, she also says that the character may cause her some trouble while filming the upcoming season of Stranger Things.

Aside from the riveting adventures and mysterious whimsy that come with the Holmes name, the Enola Holmes movies are known for the titular character's tendency to break down the fourth wall as she interacts directly with the camera. As we already know, Stranger Things' telepathic teen, Eleven, doesn't share this quirk with Enola.

Per a report by Today, Millie compared filming the Enola Holmes flicks to vlogging on YouTube during a cast Q&A at the movie's New York City premiere. "It's like, 'Come along with me on another journey. I wake up. I go on another case,' I mean, it's amazing," she said.

She also explained that playing Enola has made her used to breaking the fourth wall, which prompted her to have a nightmare where she brought Enola's quirks to the Stranger Things set."While filming, I had a dream that I was on the set of Stranger Things, and I couldn't stop looking at the camera," Millie dished. "And now, I have this deep-rooted fear that now I will never stop looking at the camera. So now, I'm so obsessed with it."

If Eleven suddenly gave the camera a wink while battling Vecna and the other terrifying creatures on Stranger Things, it's safe to say we've seen weirder things in the Upside Down.
