Why Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra Skipped the 2019 AMAs

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra aren't gracing the American Music Awards with their great style and presence this year…though it's not because Jonas wasn't nominated. The singer and his brothers received two major nominations: Favorite Duo or Group - Pop/Rock nomination (they're against BTS and Panic! at the Disco) and Favorite Song - Pop/Rock for "Sucker." But Jonas and Chopra are far away from the Los Angeles ceremony for work reasons.

Chopra shared an Instagram of herself in India two days ago. "Drivers ed.. #thewhitetiger #stickshiftlife 🤦🏽♀️😏🎥 it’s on.." she captioned it. The actress is also the voice of Elsa in the Indian version of Frozen 2, so she's been promoting that on her Instagram as well:.

Jonas, meanwhile, has been touring with the Jonas Brothers. They played in Brooklyn last night and will be playing in Toronto on Tuesday. Flying from New York City to Los Angeles for a night and then back up to Toronto is a bit of an extensive trip. Jonas also teased on his Instagram that his Jumanji 2 press tour is starting; the film is out on December 13. He wasn't at the movie's first stop, though he made a joke about it on Instagram. "They must really miss me on the Jumanji press tour. 😜 #jumanjithenextlevel," he wrote.

Jonas and Chopra's last photographed date was in Los Angeles at the end of October.

Chopra shared photos of the couple on vacation together in Cabo San Lucas days later.

"Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating. From mine to yours..." she captioned the shot of them gazing lovingly at the other.
