Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will embark on their first royal tour in October, but will unfortunately miss a major milestone-Prince Charles' 70th birthday party.

Vanity Fair reports that a the Duchess of Cornwall is arranging a special concert and dinner at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the major milestone on October 25, three weeks before Charles' actual birthday.

If you can't remember through your royal wedding hangover, shortly after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got married, they attended a garden party held in Charles' honor. The couple had to delay honeymoon plans to be in attendance, but for good reason. “It’s going to be a very special night and Charles is very much looking forward to it,” a source told Vanity Fair. “Harry and Meghan can’t be there because they will be overseas. It’s why they were so keen to be at the garden party for Charles back in May.”

On the plus side, Kate Middleton will be returning from maternity leave next month and will be in attendance with her husband, Prince William. Invites for the gala were sent out last week to Charles' closest family members and friends, who will enjoy a night of music, opera, ballet and Shakespearean drama.

Although Meghan and Harry will miss the birthday fun, they will be back in time to celebrate Charles' actual birthday on November 14.
