Everyone's favorite punk rock couple didn't make it to the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were nowhere to be found at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, tonight, where this year's VMAs are being held. The musician is up for one award in the category of Best Alternative Song, recognized for his collaboration with Willow on "emo girl."

Considering the fact that the Kelly held only one nomination and wasn't in line to perform this year, his and Fox's absence checks out.

The couple first made their VMAs debut together at last year's ceremony. At the time, Fox showed up in a jaw-dropping sheer, sparkling Mugler gown and metallic thong, styled with a wet hair look—à la Kim Kardashian at the 2016 VMAs. MGK contrasted his girlfriend's naked look in a glittery bright red pinstriped suit and silver face jewelry.

On the red carpet, Fox Entertainment Tonight that MGK picked her look of the night—and she totally went for it. "He was like, 'You're gonna be naked tonight,'" she said. "I was like, 'Whatever you say, daddy!' Whatever daddy says."

The two, who refer to each other as "twin flames," have been dating since late 2020, and got engaged in January of this year.

In an interview earlier this year, Fox reflected on how her relationship with Kelly helped her embrace her own personal style.

"Prior to being famous everyone who knew me always knew that I would always wear one really insane piece, and everybody would be like, 'You dress weird.' And it wasn't until I was molded and had to dress one way that I gave up on that," she said. "And being with him, obviously, he's slightly eccentric in the way that he dresses—and that has freed me up to express myself more. And he helped hook me up with Maeve Reilly, my stylist."
