Kelly Clarkson might just be an accidental prank master.

The talk show host recently opened up about a night spent at her former step-mother-in-law Reba McEntire's house, where she left an unexpected surprise in the closet for the country singer to find days later.

In a new clip uploaded to The Kelly Clarkson Show's official YouTube account, the "Breakaway" singer had several cast members of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on as guests. When conversation turned to Michael Zegen "adopting" a creepy prop doll from the Amazon series, it led Clarkson to detail her own experience with a creepy doll, which wasn't quite so heartwarming on the surface. (Don't worry—Zegen didn't let the joke run for too long, describing the doll, which he did in fact leave behind on set, as "creepy" and "sticky.")

Clarkson then made a seemingly random joke about taking it home and propping it up in his guest room, but the idea was actually inspired by her own encounter with a doll in a room she slept in at Reba's for what she says was probably "a family thing."

“She had a doll,” Clarkson said. “And it was so creepy to me. I just—dolls are creepy to me.” So, naturally, she stuffed it in the closet.

“Two days later, she’s like, ‘So I found the doll in the closet?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, my God! I’m sorry, I didn’t put it back.'" She emphasized, “It scared me and I couldn’t sleep! I was just like, 'I’m not just gonna sleep with that thing looking at me.'”

She continued, “She was like, ‘Did you put my stuff in the closet?’ I was like, ‘I kinda did. I did, I’m so sorry. I should have brought it back out.’”
