Why Kate Middleton Reportedly Regretted Her Christmas Day Outfit

Kate Middleton's subtly festive Christmas Day outfit may have been an aspirational faux fur moment for many of us, but the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly had some regrets about her look.

Karen Anvil, a royals fan who was at the Christmas church walk last week, told Metro that the duchess spoke to her daughter during the event, telling the 19-year-old that she was getting too warm in her faux fur Catherine Walker coat.

"Kate was talking to my daughter about clothes and how she was feeling too hot, she said 'I really shouldn’t have worn this,'" Anvil said.

Figuring out how to dress for December weather can be difficult, even if you're a royal.

This year's Sandringham event also marked Prince George and Princess Charlotte's debut appearances at the church walk, having finally become old enough to join their parents. One-year-old Prince Louis sat out the event, while George and Charlotte made the traditional public walk before attending church services with Kate and Prince William.

Outfit regret aside, it looks like Kate and the Cambridges had a lovely time.
