Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O'Connell, John Stamos

Accusations made in John Stamos' upcoming memoir have completely taken over headlines these past few days, and now, fellow actor Jerry O'Connell is getting involved following Stamos' statements regarding ex-wife Rebecca Romijn, whom O'Connell is currently married to.

In his forthcoming memoir If You Would Have Told Me, Stamos reportedly discusses his relationship and failed marriage with the X-Men actress, going on to describe her as "the devil."

Stamos and Romijn were married for about seven years, before the two divorced in 2005. The former pair have since moved on and remarried, with Romijn and O'Connell tying the knot in 2007 and Stamos saying "I do" to Caitlin McHugh in 2018.

So when the 50-year-old Femme Fatale star's husband was asked about Stamos' revelation, he kept his opinion to himself.

"It's not really my place to say," he told Access Hollywood's Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover. "I would rather my wife talk about that," he said of Stamos' comments.

According to statements shared with People, Stamos didn't just call his former wife "the devil," he admitted that he hated her at one point.

"In my mind back then, she was the devil and I just hated her," he said per the publication. "I couldn't believe how much I hated her, and it ruined my life."

The 60-year-old actor continued, explaining that while in AA he learned "the fourth step, is you lay out all your grievances, everything that people did to you. And then I said, 'Oh, she did this, she did that, blah, blah, she did blah, blah.' And then my sponsor goes, 'Now what part did you play in that?' And I go, like, 'None.'"

Eventually, he said he realized that he was responsible for "some part" of their falling out–which he described as "shattering."

"You start thinking, it's like, 'Oh, she wasn't the Devil. Maybe I was as much to blame as her,'" he shared.

His past relationship with Romijn is just one of the many sensitive topics Stamos divulges in the book. As Parade previously reported, the ER star recalled walking in on his then-girlfriend Teri Copley in bed with Tony Danza, as well as the lessons he learned from grieving Bob Saget and the romance that "almost" occurred with fellow Full House star Lori Loughlin.
