Why Harry Probably Won't Ever Be Able to Repair His Relationship With Will, According to a Royal Friend

Bad news (yet again) for anyone who put "an end to Prince William and Prince Harry's royal rift" on their holiday wish list. According to an anonymous friend of the royals, Harry is probably never going to be able to fix things with Will and, apparently, the Sussexes' Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, is the final straw.

"All relationships are built on trust but for members of the royal family, who live their life in the spotlight, doubly so," the insider told the Daily Mail. "The Prince [of Wales] is a very private man and what Harry is doing is the anathema of everything he believes. On that alone, many believe it is unlikely he will ever be able to repair his relationship with them. Too much water has gone under the bridge."

According to The Sun, while Will has reportedly avoided watching Harry & Meghan for himself so far, sources ~in the know~ about the royals expect he will eventually check it out. Even if those sources turn out to be right and Will does decide to add to Harry & Meghan's ratings numbers, don't expect him to make any public statements about it when/if he does watch, since the royal fam has reportedly decided they *won't* be commenting on the series.

FWIW though, Harry (and his wife/docuseries costar) Meghan Markle reportedly really want the royal family to watch the show—and the Sussexes reportedly seem hopeful that it might actually be a step in the right direction for a royal reconciliation if they would.

"Harry and Meghan hope family members and courtiers will watch or, more importantly, listen to their comments. But they know nothing they speak about will be addressed in public," a royal source told The Mirror. "They hope it may prompt a greater understanding from the King and the Cambridges of how Harry and Meghan feel about their experiences in England."
