The compelling firefighting drama is coming back soon.

If you've been enjoying the CBS firefighting drama Fire Country, we have bad news for you: there will not be a new episode of the show on March 24, 2023.

Why isn't Fire Country on TV tonight?

In case you've missed it, or in case sports aren't really your thing, much of the country and the network TV channels are currently gripped by the annual March Madness tournament. Fire Country will not air tonight because CBS will be showing games from the NCAA tournament instead.

When is Fire Country coming back on?

As far as we can tell, a new episode of Fire Country will air on March 31, 2023.

What is happening on Fire Country right now?

Season one of Fire Country is doing so well that CBS has already announced that the network is casting for season two.

The episode on March 10, 2023, was a heavy one for the show. Everyone on Fire Country was still reeling from the death of Rebecca, and Bode decided that all the blame for her death is on the crew's captain, Manny, who was working a different job the day that Rebecca died.

Bode also insisted that Manny wrote the eulogy for Rebecca's funeral because he began to doubt his abilities since Rebecca was the second person to die on his watch. Bode was clearly emotional in this episode, and when he was called to fight another fire, Bode insisted on staying even after Manny left the scene with the rest of the crew.

When Bode realized that the fire was traveling toward a prison, he began trying to save the people inside. Meanwhile, the prisoners began to riot and things soon got out of control. Bode was on the brink of risking his own life in a serious way when he took a step back and left the scene of the fire. The prisoners were released in time, and right toward the end of the episode, the team learned that the fires were set on purpose—and that the person who did it worked for Vince.
