Dua Lipa and Masters of the Air actor Callum Turner have been very open about their new romantic relationship; the couple has been photographed on dates and showing PDA. Still, they chose not to make their red carpet debut at tonight’s Grammys ceremony.

Turner already confirmed he wouldn’t be at the Grammys in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on January 24. When asked if he would attend the music awards ceremony, he said, “No, I’m not a musician.”

“You’ve been dancing the night away with a certain Grammy award winner,” the reporter said to him, alluding to Lipa.

“I don’t know about that,” Turner replied with a smile.

Lipa ultimately posed on the red carpet alone. There was no sign of Turner inside the ceremony either, where Lipa opened the show with her performance.

Lipa is performing at the Grammys and has two nods for her Barbie track, “Dance the Night”: Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media.

Lipa spoke to IndieWire in mid-December about writing “Dance the Night Away” and her impression of the film overall, where she has a small role as Mermaid Barbie. She called out America Ferrera’s viral monologue as particularly resonant: “That moment where America Ferrera has that really real, honest talk to get Barbie out of being brainwashed is so true of the expectations that are put on women and how we, without even batting an eyelid, just move through life with the understanding that people might undermine us, people might not think that we’re good enough, people might want to put us down, and we have this resilience and this deep feeling of ‘We can make it through anything,’ regardless of other people’s expectation. I totally feel that.”
