  • At this year's 92nd annual Academy Awards ceremony, The Morning Show's Jennifer Aniston was nowhere to be found.

  • Here's why you didn't see Aniston on the red carpet or inside the Dolby Theatre.

The world may be holding its breath for another backstage reunion between Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, but we're here to tell you that you can safely exhale now. The Morning Show actress is not in attendance at tonight's 92nd Academy Awards, so Brad will simply have to make do without her.

Did Aniston skip out on the star-studded awards ceremony? Not necessarily. Her reason for not attending the Oscars is simple: She wasn't nominated for anything.

Although she won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in The Morning Show, the Oscars is a strictly movies-only ceremony. Aniston also wasn't listed as a presenter, further solidifying that her attendance would be nonessential.

The Morning Show, a dramatized depiction of the cutthroat world of morning TV, specifically in the era of the Me Too movement, lives on Apple TV+.

In an interview with Variety, Aniston said that the characters in the series are "all fictional, but also kind of highlighting aspects of the archetype of a charming narcissist, of a generation of men that didn’t think that was bad behavior. That's just the way it works. And men are flirts and women are coy and find it flattering. And thankfully, with the sacrifices of these women who have come forward, this isn't going to happen anymore. It's wonderful that you're accountable and you have to check yourself."
