And the reason? Over the years, Markle has been crystal clear about how much her mother, Doria Ragland, means to her. In fact, in a recent interview with Glamour, she not only called her mom her “best friend,” but also described her as a lifelong nurturer, caregiver and free spirit. “We can just have so much fun together, and yet, I’ll still find so much solace in her support,” Markle explained.
No wonder Harry made a grand gesture before asking Markle to say “I do.” The prince himself is no stranger to the meaning of moms. (Just look at the Princess Diana-infused engagement ring he used to propose.)
