From ELLE

Since signing with Elite Model Management New York just last summer, Delilah Belle Hamlin has become something of a runway fixture. In September she set the bar high with her New York Fashion Week debut at Tommy x Gigi, and she crossed into supermodel territory when she walked Dolce & Gabbana's fall 2018 show in Milan. While her blond, beachy aesthetic may drum up comparisons to Gigi Hadid, patron saint of California style, Hamlin has worn the undone look well before she stepped into the spotlight. And, like any teenager, she just wants a clean complexion. "I feel like modeling is definitely a job where you need to look a certain way," she says. "You for sure need to have clear skin, but I've always wanted good skin and to feel my best when I leave the house, so my perspective on beauty hasn't changed much."

We asked Hamlin her secrets to glowing skin; the beauty advice she receives from her mom, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna; and how she maintains those gorgeous brows.

1.La Mer is the ultimate skin saver.

I love La Mer's Intensive Revitalizing Mask. When I went to Paris last month, I forgot to pack it and had to buy it while I was there-my skin was so bad. You probably couldn't tell from pictures because I was wearing makeup, but all of that makeup ended up clogging my pores. Once I purchased the mask, it instantly changed everything. You're only supposed to leave it on for eight minutes, but I honestly wear it throughout the day because it makes your skin really glow-y.

2.Get a cortisone shot for pimples.

I used to have literally the worst skin, so pimples give me anxiety. My mom always has clear skin, but if she does get a blemish, she will be like, 'Get a cortisone shot!' It's actually a great treatment if you have a pimple. It takes the redness away so quick. It's the best thing in the world for someone like me, who is obsessed with keeping my skin clear.

3.Pluck (never wax) your brows.

I go to Anastasia Beverly Hills to get my eyebrows trimmed and plucked about every three months. I don't get them waxed ever, or even shaped, just cleaned up. In between visits, my mom will touch them up for me. I won't do it myself-I'm too scared I will mess them up. I was just gifted Brow Satin by Maybelline, so I've been using that for my brows, and then I'll seal it all together with Anastasia's brow gel.

4.Keep your color-treated hair healthy.

It is really hard to maintain blond color, which is why I just dyed my hair a more natural shade. It's a little dead from going darker, so I use Olaplex. It's especially great after a hair treatment and you can even sleep in it! To help hold my color, I will put a hair mask on once a week. I like the Kerastase mask that comes in an orange jar and also one from Moroccanoil. When I get out of the shower I apply It's a 10 Express Miracle Silk Leave-In to detangle, and then I'll apply Plarmia Hairserum Oil to really strengthen my hair.

5.No amount of cover-up can rival a clear complexion.

I didn't have the best skin, so I would spend a lot of time trying to cover up my blemishes with so much makeup. Now that my skin has cleared up, I try to keep it to a minimum. I won't have a full face of makeup when I'm at school or running errands. One of the most important lessons I learned from working with Pat McGrath is that you can be gorgeous without makeup. She has her own makeup line, yet she doesn't feel the need to wear anything on her face and she's still so beautiful.

6.Banish blackheads with egg whites.

You can put egg whites on your face or any part of your body that has largish pores. Once it dries, you can peel it off like a Biore strip. It will immediately pull out any blackheads.

7.Multi-masking rules.

When I travel I definitely do a lot more face masks than usual. I bring three kinds of masks that target different skin concerns-just in case! With modeling you wear a lot of makeup so you want to keep your skin clear when you're not in front of the camera and just lying in bed. I'm always wearing a mask in bed. Literally, everyone knows that if they're going to FaceTime me at night, I'll have a mask on. My favorite brand is Eminence. I use their Clear Skin Probiotic mask and layer it under the Strawberry Rhubarb one. I'm probably doing it all wrong, but it works for me.
