Why David Dobrik Walked the 2019 Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet Alone

David Dobrik, our favorite YouTuber goofball and giver of cars is co-hosting the Teen Choice Awards tonight with Katy Keene star Lucy Hale. The "Sexy, Gorgeous, and Humble" celeb — according to his Instagram and Twitter bios — is walking the red carpet solo.

Considering how he recently told J-14 at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood he was "super single" and "very, very far from being in a relationship again," it's not surprising he went stag. (So, if you're still planning your future life as Mrs. David Dobrik, you don't have any competition at the moment!)

David's dating history is unlike most 23-year-olds, considering how he married his best friend's mom in Vegas for the hell of it. A member of the 'Vlog Squad,' Jason Nash joked to David, "It’s crazy to think that you’ll never have an ex-wife because no one will f*cking marry you ever."

Cut to: David marrying Lorraine Nash, making a then-45-year-old Jason the step-son of then-22-year-old David. Wowza.

I am heartbroken to announce that Lorraine and I have decided to end our romantic relationship. We wish this news would have come from us first, however, we know it’s difficult for the media to resist speculation. We have tried so hard to make things work. Sometimes in life you just aren’t enough for someone; no matter what you do for them or what you try to be. Lorraine, you have been my light, my muse and my confidante. Since the "relationship" was just a joke, and not ~true love~, David and Lorraine got divorced a month later.

Prior to that experience, David dated fellow YouTuber Liza Koshy from 2015 until their public breakup in 2018. The video went live in June 2018, and David admitted in the vid that "Liza broke up with [him] 6 months ago."

Though they broke up, there appears to be no drama between the exes. Just last month, David shared in a video with J-14 that Liza was his "all-time favorite collaborator" and "the funniest person [he's] ever met in his life."

I’ve been dating this girl for two years now and it’s still my biggest and proudest accomplishment. At the time of this writing, Liza hasn't posted anything on social media, wishing David good luck with the awards show, but hopefully she sent him a quick text that made him laugh and helped him relax before the show.
