The two have been celebrating Shawn's birthday during the east-coast leg of his world tour.
Shawn sent a video thanking fans to accept the award for Choice Male Artist.
The 2019 Teen Choice Awards were conspicuously without a certain high-profile celeb couple: Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello.
For the past two weeks straight, the lovebirds have been making out all over the country – just, unfortunately for us, not at this year's TCAs. But before you get too upset over the lavish PDA that we've missed out on, keep reading, because they actually have a really good reason for skipping out on the show.
At this exact moment, Shawn is performing for a stadium full of people in Newark, NJ, on the US leg of his world tour. Judging by the fact that the two were seen strolling about Brooklyn holding hands on Friday August 9, we can safely bet that Camila is busy cheering him on from backstage.
Even though they couldn't make it all the way to California for the awards show, Shawn still was able to video in from Jersey to thank fans for his Teen Choice Award for Choice Male Artist.

The singer was nominated for five awards, including: Choice Summer Music Star: Male, Choice Summer Song ("Señorita"), Choice Single: Male Artist ("If I Can't Have You"), and Choice Summer Tour.
