But don't just take our word for it. We've turned to the experts to break it all down for us. Read on to learn more about the bombshell side part.

What Is a Bombshell Side Part?

Aptly named, a bombshell side part is comprised of a voluminous blowout with a deep side part at the front to add a lifted look. "It's a super deep part that rests about an inch or two over the ear, while the rest of the hair is pushed far over to one side for extra volume," says celebrity stylist Lacy Redway. "The look has been around forever, but it was popularized by '90s supermodels."

This particular side part is an easy way to add volume and style to your hair. And regardless of whether you're #teammiddlepart or not, there's no arguing that a side part can help highlight certain features in the best way possible. "Side parts complement and balance facial features, avoiding the emphasis on asymmetries like a middle part or mid-face focus like bangs," explains Joseph Maine. "The added lift in the hair creates an uplifted appearance. [The bombshell side part] is a super sexy look that doesn't look too 'try hard.'"

Who Is It For?

The bombshell side part is one of the most versatile hairstyles; it works for almost everyone regardless of hair type or length. Maine says it may be difficult to style if you have blunt bangs, long blunt cuts, or extensions that sit high on your head. But otherwise, you can easily give yourself this supermodel blowout.

How to Style It

Styling it on your own is super easy. Maine says to start by adding a volumizer like the Color Wow Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer to damp hair for major body and to help lock your blowout in place. "This miracle product offers long-lasting hold with its memory effect; it maintains your desired shape throughout the day," he says. Then, you'll dry your hair with a blow dryer, lifting your roots upward with a round brush for maximum lift.

Once hair is dry, he says to section off hair and give yourself that deep side part. Then, roll each section with something like Trademark Beauty Velcro Rollers for some extra bounce to your ends. He says to place rollers in a mohawk-like formation along your chosen side part. Pro tip: he says to add a creaseless clip on the hairline in the front to hold the part in place.

After a few minutes, you can release the rollers. Redway then recommends spritzing a flexible hold hairspray like the TRESemme Ultra Fine Hairspray through lengths for added volume. "Volume is everything with this look," she says.

How to Wear It

Depending on your hair type or length, Redway says that you can evoke different vibes when wearing a bombshell side part. If you have short or straight hair, for example, she says it can give you an edgier rocker look. If you have long curls, it will give more of that classic '90s supermodel vibe.

If you're looking for inspiration on how to wear this side part, there are plenty of celebs to look to. She says that a lot of our favorite stars have done some variation of this look as it continues to become more popular and suggests looking to the OG '90s icons like Cindy Crawford or Veronica Webb for a more retro look. Current celeb favorites that she loves referencing include Zendaya, Tessa Thompson, Megan Thee Stallion, Kim Kardashian, and Cardi B.

But in the end, it's all about personal preferences. You really can't go wrong whichever way you wear a bombshell side part. As Redway puts it, "It still gives you the flexibility to style the texture of your hair as you see fit."
