Another opportunity for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds to have an award season date night has passed, and no dice. The two did not walk the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet this evening in Los Angeles. It's not surprising: neither of the two were tapped to present, and they don't have nominations either this year. But hey, there's still the Oscars in a couple weeks.

Lively and Reynolds have kept a pretty quiet profile on social media lately. They were last photographed this weekend in New York City, hanging with Bradley Cooper at his apartment.

Lively did share rare photos of a public date they had at Los Angeles' Museum of Ice Cream on December 23. "Now I get why everyone screams 🍦 @museumoficecream," she captioned it. Witty.

The two keep their relationship relatively private when they aren't promoting any projects. And while they troll each other on social media from time to time, there have been moments when they've spoken seriously about how being together changed their lives.

Reynolds most poignantly discussed Lively's effect on him at the 2017 Met Gala. He told Humans of New York, "She always responds with empathy. She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy. She'll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were five or six years old. And she's made me a more empathetic person. I had a very fractured relationship with my father. Before he died, she made me remember things I didn't want to remember. She made me remember the good times."
