Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are legally single, but their divorce settlement hasn't been finalized, The Blast reports, three years after Jolie first filed for divorce in 2016. The reason is money, per legal documents the outlet obtained: The couple is asking for more time to figure out how to split their multi-million dollar fortunes. (Jolie's net worth is estimated to be $100 million while Pitt's is estimated to be $300 million.)

Pitt requested the couple have ongoing discussion move forward with a private judge, which LA County Courts will allow, The Blast writes, so long as Brangelina pay for the judge's time themselves.

The outlet reports that "talks are going smoothy" and will continue privately. The couple has agreed on a custody agreement for their six children and are just sorting out finances and property. Apparently Pitt and Jolie "co-mingled a lot of their wealth" during their 12-year relationship, and figuring out what to do about their French winery Miraval has been a "sticking point," the outlet writes.

Jolie and Pitt were granted legal single status in April through a bifurcated judgment, so they could keep working out the final details of their divorce without maintaining their married status. Sources close to the couple told The Blast then that they negotiated the judgement because "they were ready to move forward." There was no new relationship or marriage motivating it. Both Jolie and Pitt remain single.

Jolie opened up a little to Madame Le Figaro about how her and Pitt's breakup changed her, describing herself as "a little lost" initially.

“I think it was at the end of my relationship with Brad and then when we separated," she started. "It was complicated, I didn’t recognize myself anymore, and I’d become, how do I say this, smaller, insignificant, even if I didn’t show it. I was profoundly, deeply sad, I was hurt. On the other hand, it was interesting to tap into this humility and sense of insignificance. In the end, that’s human. And on top of that, I was dealing with some health issues. All of these things ground you and remind you of how lucky you are to be alive. It’s a lesson I pass onto my children: the idea of renewal, and through it all, the possibility of joy. I had to rediscover the joy.”
