That's a wrap on season 21 of American Idol. But before the show crowned a winner (no spoilers if you're not caught up), the last episode was packed with high-profile performances by the likes of Keith Urban, Ellie Goulding, TLC, Pitbull, and Lil Jon. Lainey Wilson, reigning AMC Female Artist of the Year (and Yellowstone star), took the stage twice, and her performances certainly got fans talking.

Marybeth Byrd, who made it to the top 10, performed the hit "Heart Like a Truck" back during the top 26 round when Idol was in Hawaii, and she was joined by Lainey for the show's finale. Warren Peay, who made it to the top 8, took the stage with Marybeth and Lainey for the end of the song.

The American Idol Instagram page shared a video of the performance, and viewers did not hold back their thoughts. They left comments like, "I love this… and just this song is just 🔥🔥" and "SO SO GOOD!!!! 👏👏👏." Even country singer Jessie James Decker commented with "🔥 hot."

But others shared one complaint about the performance: Not enough Warren!

  • "U let warren sing for like 3 seconds tho…"

  • "Warren Peay deserved more screen time!"

  • "Warren got the shaft! I only watched as long as I did for His performance! He got like 45 seconds."

Lainey also lent her incredible vocals to perform "Save Me" with Jelly Roll before he was joined by Oliver Steele to sing "Need a Favor."

We'll be looking for more incredible performances when American Idol returns for season 22.
