After sitting vacant for more than a year, the former Village Inn building in south Fort Collins will soon be bringing breakfast back.

The Original Pancake House, currently located at 2909 E. Harmony Road, Suite 140, is set to move into the former Village Inn building at 1402 E. Harmony Road next year, local Original Pancake House franchisee Danny Park told the Coloradoan on Nov. 22.

This will mark the first move for the restaurant, which Danny and his wife, Nannette Park, opened in a strip of Harmony Road businesses 10 years ago.

When the prospect of moving into a freestanding building presented itself, the couple decided to make the switch, Danny said.

"We're just so thankful for our customers, and we feel this opportunity was hard to pass by," said Danny, noting that the new location will keep them on Harmony Road, triple their business's parking and give them 900 additional square feet of restaurant space.

The Original Pancake House plans to make the move to its new location in late February or early March, Danny added.
