After weathering the ups and downs of marriage and divorce, the 64-year-old radio host, game show host, talk show host and beauty pageant host has finally found his Mrs. Right. Here’s what we know about Steve Harvey's wife and his previous marriages. 

Is Steve Harvey married?

Yes, and as his current union proves third time’s the charm! Harvey (whose real name is actually Broderick Stephen Harvey) and Marjorie Bridges have been husband and wife since 2007. It’s the third marriage for each of them and, for Harvey, his most successful at 15 years and counting. 

How did Steve Harvey meet his current wife?

In 2018, during a commercial break on her husband’s talk show, Bridges and Harvey revealed to the studio audience that their romance originated at one of his comedy shows in Memphis. “I was late and I thought he was gonna give me the business because he got real quiet. He was just staring at me…I thought I was gonna become part of the show,” she said. “He finally realized he’s gotta say something, he was like, ‘Oh, I’m sorry. I don’t know who this is, but I’m gonna marry her.’”

Harvey also adorably admitted that the first time he laid eyes on Bridges, he “quit breathing.” Aww!

How did Steve Harvey propose to Marjorie Bridges? 

In 2014, Harvey likewise revealed on his show how he popped the question. The star flew his future bride to Cabo, Mexico, for a vacation, then surprised her on the first night of their getaway by hiding a diamond ring in her dessert.

What does Marjorie Harvey do?

What doesn’t she do? The 56-year-old is the founder of the fashion and lifestyle brand The Lady Loves Couture, as well as a co-founder (along with Steve) of The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation, which “provides youth outreach services that help cultivate the next generation of responsible leaders by providing educational enrichment, mentoring, life transformation skills, and global service initiatives.”

Marjorie has also been called the “Queen of Slay-Cations” thanks to her passion for travel. She and Steve have climbed Australia’s Sydney Harbor Bridge, made friends with parrots in the Dominican Republic, cruised the Mediterranean by yacht, vacationed extensively through Italy–one of their all-time favorite destinations–and in 2019, embarked on an emotional pilgrimage “home” to Ghana.

In 2022, Steve penned a heartfelt 15-year anniversary letter to Marjorie in the July/August 2022 issue of Good Housekeeping.

“I owe you a debt of gratitude because you simply changed my life,” he writes. “If people get tired of hearing me say that, that’s OK. It doesn’t change the facts. You are the single biggest reason outside of God’s grace that I am where I am today. You’re the one."

Who was Steve Harvey’s first wife?

Marcia Harvey married Steve in 1981, when he was working as an insurance salesman in Ohio and still trying to break into comedy. He ultimately spent long stretches of time on the road, which contributed to their split in 1994. Since then, Marcia has maintained a relatively low profile, but it seems she's also gone on to become a published author.

Who was Steve Harvey’s second wife?

Steve reportedly started seeing second wife Mary Shackelford before his divorce from his first wife Marcia was finalized. The two married in 1996 and ended things in 2005, with their split proving messy for years to follow. In 2011, for example, Shackelford was admonished by a judge for seemingly making false statements about being left destitute by Steve. She also made several public statements against her ex—claiming, among other things, that he cheated on her with future third wife Marjorie.
