  • Fans are speculating that Rihanna may be pregnant after an interview she gave last night.

  • The singer said, "I'm going to give birth to a black woman."

  • Others believe Rihanna was just speaking hypothetically.

It's Rihanna's party, and she can announce her pregnancy if she wants to. But...did she? At the singer's 5th Annual Clara Lionel Diamond Ball, supporting her Clara Lionel Foundation, she gave a red carpet interview leaving some fans convinced they'll meet a Mini RiRi in the months to come.

“I’m a black woman, who came from a black woman, and I’m going to give birth to a black woman,” Rihanna told Essence, wearing a black Givenchy Haute Couture gown, pearls, and white pointed-toe stilettos. “We are impeccable. We’re special and the world is just going to have to deal with that.”

In full, the quote reads:

"I’m a black woman. I came from a black woman, who came from a black woman, who came from a black woman and I’m going to give birth to a black woman. My mother is an incredible example of how to fight through obstacles in life. I’m sure her mom taught her that and that’s how I’m going to be. We are impeccable, we’re special, we’re special and the world is going to have to deal with that."

Friendly reminder that Rihanna didn't actually say she's pregnant, but that didn't stop fans from speculating on social media. As of this morning, Rihanna is the second most-trending topic on Twitter, behind tonight's Friday the 13th/Full Moon situation.

However, it could be that Rihanna is trending because she just threw the party of the year. It's been a big week for the star; on Tuesday, she hosted the NYFW Fenty lingerie show, featuring Cara Delevingne, the Hadid sisters, and Halsey debuting her new single.

Other fans aren't convinced, and pointed out that it's none of their business, anyway.
