Don’t ask me why, but although I can usually pull off relatively chic makeup glam or a stellar outfit (just don’t catch me on Saturday’s before noon), I have never been able to style my hair. Sure, I can shun my bed head away with the help of my trusty Dyson Airwrap but when it comes to having an actually fab hairdo, it has just never been my forte.

By now, we all know how much of an influence Swifties have on…pretty much everything. The Taylor Swift fandom is a heck of a force to be reckoned with, and the “Cowboy Like Me” singer has proven time and time again that it’s her world and we’re all just living in it. Or, to quote Phoebe Bridgers’ recent speech, it’s the world (Taylor’s Version). If you’ve been on TikTok lately, you’re sure to have seen thousands of videos of excited fans showing off what they’re wearing to Taylor Swift’s concert, the Eras Tour (you know, the tour the basically knocked Ticketmaster off its axis).

In celebration of the many albums, and therefore, eras, T. Swift is performing, Swifties unionized to create a universally accepted dress code that follows suit. As in, you can expect about 99% of people in the stadium to be embodying one of her many albums (like Fearless, Folklore, Speak Now, and more) with their meticulously thought out outfits. Another popular piece of their uniform? These hair gems from Conair.

Regardless of what “era” Taylor’s fans are going for, this hair jeweler has become a regular staple. And for people like me who struggle with giving their hair that extra oomph, it’s the ideal, easy hack that instantly elevates your look. It especially helps that—seeing as they are made for *whispers* kids—they are incredibly simple to use. To bejewel your hair, all you need to do is separate strands of hair and insert inside the device. Then you press down, as if you were stapling your hair, and bam—you’re ready for the Eras tour.

While the gems come in various different colors and designs like hearts, stars, and flowers; that doesn’t mean you have to use all of them. You can be like me and simply rotate the spinner to land on the gems you want to use, which in my case was only the silver ones to match my Midnights vibe. See below for an IRL example of these babies in action.

Even though Swifties took part in making this hair jeweler viral, that’s not to say it’s only meant for concerts. In fact, if you’re headed out to the desert for Coachella or any other festival; these are guaranteed to be a smash and help you make the whole damn place shimmer in any room you walk into.
