It’s a girl’s worst nightmare. You spend weeks planning your outfit and then someone goes and steels your fashion thunder by wearing the exact same frock. But when the sartorial style stealer is none other than the Duchess of Cambridge, Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore will probably let her off. Just this once mind.
Thankfully the fashion faceoff occurred an entire continent apart as both the Duchess and Drew stepped out in the same colourful Tory Burch dress.
Kate donned the £1160 intricate, embroidered gown to attend a dinner with the King and Queen of Bhutan at Lingkana Palace. Teaming the patterned frock with a tangerine shawl, black, strappy sandals and statement earrings, the Duchess managed to hit the style nail on the head yet again.

But she wasn’t the only one. Hollywood star Drew, 41 looked equally on point pairing the multi-coloured gown with nude, Christian Louboutin stacked heels and a slick of red lipstick as she attended a charity fundraising gala in New York. The mum-of-two, who was the event’s honoree, opted to leave her hair straight and sleek and kept her make-up natural, yet polished.

The stunning gown features an intricate design of turquoise, orange, silver and brown retro-inspired florals with a red beaded neckline and elegant slit side detailing.
It marks a week of stylish outfits for Kate, who has been showcasing some stunning looks on this week’s tour of India and Bhutan.

For Drew, the occasion saw her making one of her first public appearances since announcing her split from husband, Will Kopelman after three and a half years of marriage.
And while Drew normally has some serious fashion game, you know you’ve hit the sartorial mark bang on when you step out in the same dress as style royalty.
