After seven weeks of intrigue, manipulation, and a whole bunch of awkward dinners at the Palazzo San Domenico, Season 2 of The White Lotus came to a head last night, ratcheting up the tension surrounding the saga of Tanya & The GaysTM and answering the burning question of who, exactly, ended up dead in that flash-forward in episode one.

As has become a tradition for HBO's Sunday night programming, The White Lotus was appointment viewing, and many viewers derived as much pleasure from sharing theories, speculating, and memifying moments from the show online as they did from the at-times deeply uncomfortable viewing itself. And boy, did creator Mike White give fans a wealth of material to work with.

Ever since Murray Bartlett got caught rimming Lukas Gage back in Season 1, The White Lotus has been the kind of show that regularly breaks the internet, and Season 2 was no different. This time around, viewers were captivated by the directorial homages to Italian cinema, the perplexing costuming choices of some characters (yes Portia we are all looking at you and we have thoughts), that uncle-on-nephew jawdropper of a cliffhanger, and of course, the iconic delivery of Tanya's lines by Jennifer Coolidge, who has become the show's de facto leading lady, and context-free screengrabs of whom can be found on just about every social platform going.

From her Monica Vitti-turned-Peppa Pig cosplay, to her reading of "these are some high-end gays" to the finale's immortal quote, "these gays, they're trying to murder me," Coolidge's performance is the stuff of Twitter gold. We've rounded up some of the internet's funniest homages to her plight, along with riffs on every character from wealthy wife Daphne to the "winners" of the season, Mia and Lucia.
