White Claw Releases a Brand-New Drink That Tastes Exactly Like a Vodka Soda
White Claw is known for its boozy seltzers in flavors including Black Cherry, Ruby Grapefruit, Natural Lime, Raspberry, and Mango. But the brand is going in a different direction with a new spiked drink that tastes exactly like a vodka soda.
Canned boozy beverages, ranging from beer to wine to seltzer, make getting your buzz on super convenient. But when was the last time you had a vodka soda in a can? That’s the idea behind the White Claw Pure Hard Seltzer. It does not contain any actual vodka, but is dubbed as an alternative to a vodka soda through the brand’s BrewPure alcohol base.
I got the chance to try White Claw Pure Hard Seltzer ahead of its release in a blind taste test. One cup had a classic vodka soda (I’m told the vodka was one of the better-quality options) and the other contained the Pure beverage. They had equal ABV percentages. I guessed which was which correctly and can confirm that the White Claw did in fact taste like a vodka soda. It was almost strange how similar the two tasted, however, the Pure was easier to sip on.
One White Claw Pure can is 12 ounces, and consists of 100 calories, 0 grams of sugar, and 5% ABV. The limited-edition beverage will hit stores in 12 packs on April 1. Trust me, you’re going to want it and you won’t be able to miss that pretty blue can.
