The New White Cheddar Chex Mix People Are Panicking About On Twitter Is Just As Good As You'd Think
If you happen to be a Chex Mix fanatic, then I more than welcome you to my world. Though I can admittedly say that I didn't start to really love Chex Mix until I was in my early 20s, ever since I saw the light, I haven't turned back. And while I am still not convinced that rye chips belong in this godly mixture, I can say that it hasn't deterred me from continuing to snack on it almost every day.
Identical to my love for Chex Mix, though, is my love for white cheddar-flavored snacks. So, imagine my (pleasant) surprise when I found out that the General Mills brand is revving up to release it's all spanking new White Cheddar flavor. Even better?I got to try it early!
Slated to release at retailers nationwide in mid-June, the new highly anticipated snack is made with the traditional Chex Mix fixings (wheat and corn Chex, round and square pretzels, squiggle breadsticks, and—of course—rye chips), but it also features a delicious white-cheddar coating that I honestly just cannot get enough of. If you happen to be thinking that there's no way white cheddar belongs on Chex Mix, I implore you to think again because this combination here is the real deal, y'all. I'm not even kidding.
The thing I love most about this new flavor is its ability to stay true to the savory taste that Chex Mix is known for, while still being able to nail the essence of the white cheddar flavoring. Sincerely! This is one combination you won't want to miss out on. And if you're into spicy things like me, make sure you throw a little hot sauce on top (Louisiana, preferably!) to really make it pop. Have a blast, guys!
