Whistler Hit With First Snow Of The Season

The first snow of the season has come to British Columbia, Canada.

Yesterday, Powderchasers shared webcam images on Facebook that showed Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia, sporting a substantial snowy white coat.

This image was taken at the peak of Whistler yesterday, September 27th, and as far as first snows go, this looks pretty dang good. Many of the "first snows" this season at other resorts have involved light dusting at very high altitudes, whereas Whistler looks to have at least two or three inches of snow on the ground. If you're going to show up late to the party, you may as well do so in style.

Another trait of early-season snowfall: it usually doesn't stick around for very long.

Yet, I'm happy to report that Whistler still has snow.

Here's a peek at the Roundhouse Lodge from this morning:

As for Whistler Blackcomb's forecast going forward, it looks like snow isn't in the cards for the next few days. But hey, it's still September, right? I'll take anything we can get.
