Whistler Bike Park Announces Opening Day

Mountain bikers rejoice, the time for bike parks is nigh. Whistler's opening day, or "Whismas" as it's colloquially referred to as, has been announced.

The park is slated to open May 17th, five months after actual Christmas. In addition to announcing opening day, the park also wants to know what riders want to see from them this year.

This year should be a big one for the bike park for several reasons. First and foremost, the Fitzsimmons lift is back up and running. This is the main bike park lift out of the village and it provides access to most of the marquee trails at the bike park, namely A-Line and Dirt Merchant.

Another exciting development is that the park has officially partnered with Commencal Bikes so expect to see a lot more Furious's and Supremes rolling around this season.

As always, Crankworx will be making its annual stop in Whistler around the end of July for the usual festivities and of course, Red Bull Joyride.
