Whisker Wednesday: Meet Jasmine, a Torbie cat up for adoption

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Jasmine is a Torbie cat and is about two years old.

She’s been with Cat Haven for about eight months. She was pregnant when she was first brought to the shelter.

All her kittens have already been adopted, but Jasmine is still waiting for her turn. Her adoption fee is $125. She’s already been microchipped, de-wormed and has been vaccinated. Jasmine should do well in a home with kids and other pets.

If Jasmine isn’t the type of cat you’re looking for, check out Cat Haven’s website to see other options. There are a couple of upcoming and educational events that the shelter will be hosting. One is a free class about caring for kittens up to 10 weeks old.

This class will teach attendees about bottle feeding and what to do about finding stray kittens. The class is from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on May 30 at Cat Haven.

The shelter also has a fundraising event called “Paint Your Pet” that will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on June 2 at Painting and Pinot.
