After the events in the 1990s, People reported that Tracy became a changed man. He experienced homeless and often went from one shelter to another. He was indicted in Toledo, Mississippi for sexual battery which involved a 14-year-old girl. He proceeded to get charged with a number of crimes, which included property damage and drug possession. When ABC News spoke to Tracy's defense attorney Paul Ksicinski, he claimed that his client's life was never the same after his encounter with Jeffrey. "It's like Humpty Dumpty," he told the outlet. "It's like he was never able to put the pieces back together again."

In July 2012, Tracy was found guilty and sentenced to a year and a half in prison. National Post also reported that he was given two years of extended supervision for "aiding a felon." As far as his current whereabouts, no one knows. He is said to have lost touch with his former lawyer but Paul still continues to wish him well.

"I have no doubt that Tracy was pushed over the edge, and I only hope that he is surviving," Paul told People. "I mean, his life was completely destroyed."
