Monopoly is one of the most iconic board games of all time, so when limited-edition versions like Ted Lasso, The Mandalorian and Disney Parks started to hit digital shelves, shoppers were ecstatic.
Now, Super Mario Bros. and Chris Pratt fans are in luck as a Super Mario Bros. Movie Edition Monopoly Board Game is the latest to join the ranks just in time for the movie’s world premiere.
The highly anticipated animated film, which stars Chris Pratt (voicing Mario), Charlie Day (voicing Luigi), Anya Taylor-Joy (voicing Princess Peach), Jack Black (voicing Bowser) and more, was released on April 5 in the United States.
If you’re a die-hard Super Mario Bros. fan, this new, limited-edition Super Mario Bros. Movie Edition Monopoly Board Game is a must-buy. It’s currently available on Amazon for just $22 and lets players imagine battling Bowser to save the Mushroom Kingdom as they explore the world of the film with up to six Monopoly tokens representing characters and power-ups from the movie.
Some of them include Toad’s frying pan, a Super Mushroom, Princess Peach’s crown and more.
Like the original Monopoly board game, you get to buy, sell and trade locations from The Super Mario universe. Instead of cash, though, you get to use gold coins in this race. Whoever collects the most at the end wins.
As you play the game, beware of Bowser, who has the ability to swipe properties, steal coins or send players to jail.
