Where Was Teen Wolf: The Movie Filmed?

Welcome back to Beacon Hills, Teen Wolf fans. It’s been six years since the supernatural drama series ended its six-season run on MTV — but now, “the pack is back” in Teen Wolf: The Movie, streaming on Paramount+.

Scott McCall, portrayed by Tyler Posey, takes center stage once again in the film revival, alongside Allison Argent (Crystal Reed), Lydia Martin (Holland Roden), Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin), Jackson Whittemore (Colton Haynes), Liam Dunbar (Dylan Sprayberry), Melissa McCall (Melissa Ponzio), Chris Argent (JR Bourne), Coach Finstock (Orny Adams), and other characters from the OG series.

“A full moon rises in Beacon Hills and with it a terrifying evil has emerged,” the official film description reads. “The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an alpha, can both gather new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.”

Like the film, the Teen Wolf series takes place in the town of Beacon Hills in Northern California. But in reality, the show filmed all throughout Los Angeles, on soundstages and on location in places like downtown L.A., Pacific Palisades, Griffith Park, and Calabasas’ Canyon Park, according to the Los Angeles Times.

For Teen Wolf: The Movie, production moved to Atlanta, Georgia — the original filming location for the first two seasons of the series. The cast filmed various scenes on sound stages, and obvi, hunted the latest evil in woods and forests in the surrounding area. Meanwhile, Beacon Hills High School lacrosse games, led by Coach Finstock, take place at the expansive Fifth Third Bank Stadium at Kenneshaw State University in Kenneshaw, Georgia.
