Where to Stream the 2020 Oscar-Nominated Movies
On Monday morning, the list of Oscar-nominated movies of 2020 were bestowed upon us by the lovely faces of John Cho and Issa Rae. And they are...divisive. Hustlers, The Farewell, and Uncut Gems—some of our favorite movies this year—got zero nominations, while the controversial Joker received more noms than anything else. This would be a surprise, but remember that we're dealing with the Green Book academy here—they're going to make a lot of mistakes.
Credit where credit is due: a lot of wonderful movies were nominated this year. So many of them, in fact, that's it's unlikely you've managed to see them all. If you're a completionist who wants to catch up before the ceremony starts on February 9th, you're going to have to head to the theaters. But a bunch of the Oscar-nominated movies are already available to stream or rent on your local cord cutting service of choice. Grab your Roku stick and peruse this, our guide to all of the nominated films you can watch from the comfort of your own couch.
Want to watch these movies right away? Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and Disney+ all offer free trials so you can start streaming without committing a cent. Note: If you sign up for a free trial through these links, GQ may earn an affiliate commission.
