That's right! Margot was born in Dalby, Queensland, Australia in 1990. Before her life as an A-list actress in America, she reportedly worked as a self-called "sandwich artist" at a local Subway chain. She also attended Somerset College in Queensland, where she studied drama. It wasn't until after graduating in 2007 that she appeared in two Australian projects: the action movie Vigilante (2008) and the soap opera Neighbours, where she was a series regular until 2011.

Margot eventually left her homeland to make her mark on Hollywood, but she's an Aussie at heart! If you find this hard to believe, that just proves her acting chops. Just watch her hilarious past interview with Vanity Fair, where she teaches viewers some Australian slang.

If you want to see Margot in action as her true Aussie self, go ahead and search the internet for her many red carpet appearances and press interviews! In fact, you can tune into the Golden Globes on January 7, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. EST for a chance to hear her in real time. Barbie is nominated for nine awards, including Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical, or Comedy!

Here's to hoping she wins! 🤞 In the meantime, "Bye, Barbies!"
