During his time on TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, Josh Duggar met and fell in love with Anna Keller. The couple's courtship and marriage were featured in the series, and Josh and Anna would go on to marry in 2008 and welcome seven children together: Mackynzie, Maryella, Marcus, Mason, Michael, Meredith, and Madyson. Things came to a halt when the series was canceled in 2015. According to police documents obtained by In Touch, Josh admitted to molesting five girls, including four of his sisters. Page Six reports that Josh also confirmed that he cheated on his wife and went to rehab for sex addiction.

In April 2021, Josh was arrested for child molestation and sentenced to 12 and 1/2 years in June 2022 for receiving and possessing child pornography. However, his sentence was extended by two months, according to New York Post, after he was caught with an unauthorized cell phone. The couple's relationship was recently discussed during Prime Video's docuseries Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets and left many wondering what Anna has been up to since her husband's arrest. Read ahead for everything we know about where Anna Duggar is now.

What has Anna Duggar said about her husband's arrest?

After Josh was accused of child molestation in 2015, he released a statement to People along with his wife, Anna, and his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. Anna opened up about learning of Josh's "past teenage mistakes" two years before he proposed and revealed that she would be supporting her husband through his arrest. "I can imagine the shock many of you are going through reading this. I remember feeling that same shock," she said. "When my family and I first visited the Duggar home, Josh shared his past teenage mistakes. I was surprised at his openness and humility and, at the same time, didn’t know why he was sharing it. For Josh, he wanted not just me but my parents to know who he really was – even very difficult past mistakes."

Anna also discussed how Josh moved on from those mistakes. "He continued to do what he was taught. [I know] who Josh really is – someone who had gone down a wrong path and had humbled himself before God and those whom he had offended," she added. "Someone who had received the help needed to change the direction of his life and do what is right."

Are Josh and Anna Duggar still married?

Anna has decided to stand by Josh throughout his legal woes. She joined Josh's father and siblings during his court proceedings, and she even wrote a letter asking the presiding judge for leniency once Josh was found guilty of his crime. According to People, Anna claimed that Josh was a "loving, supportive, and caring father."

Where is Anna Duggar now?

Anna has been out of the public eye since her husband began his jail sentence. The last time she posted on Twitter was in June 2022. "Officially 34. Fourteen years ago I said, "YES!” Road-tripping to visit my bestie. "Even If" by Mercy Me on repeat. "Jesus, I will cling to You come what may," she wrote.

According to online reports, Anna still lives on the Duggar family compound in Tontitown, Arkansas, with her seven children. According to In Touch, Anna planned to move to Texas to be closer to Josh as he served his prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) in Seagoville, Texas but changed her mind. An insider reportedly told the outlet, "The problem is that Josh doesn't want Anna and their kids moving away from his family." According to the source, "He thinks it will create too much of a disconnection for her and his kids."

In June 2023, Josh's cousin Amy (Duggar) King revealed to People that she tried to extend her support to Anna and her children, but she hasn't been able to get in contact with her. "My husband [Dillon] and I actually were talking when all this first came out, and I said, 'Honey, we have room to welcome all of those kids and Anna into our home. We have bunk beds, we could do something really cool,'" she said. "And he was like, 'You're right.' He was like, 'We could.' He was like, 'Let's reach out and see what we can do.'"

"I offered it, and that's really all I can do is just hope and pray that she opens her eyes. That's all you can do," Amy said. "Honestly, it sucks. It just sucks because I want to be there, and I want to help, and it doesn't have to involve cameras or fame or anything. It's just family reaching out to family. Unfortunately, she doesn't see it."
