Reality TV’s new dating show FBoy Island is aiming to answer a question that we may never know the answer to: Do nice guys always finish last? Centered around three women who came to an island looking for love, the series invites 24 men to join them...but there's a catch. Duh. Of the 24 men, 12 are there also looking to land a relationship with one of the three women, while the other 12 are simply self-proclaimed fboys trying to win the show’s cash prize.
The three women—CJ, Nakia, and Sarah—are expected to decipher what each of the guys came for to separate the “fboys” from the “nice guys.” And that will be no easy challenge with a dating pool of guys with beach bodies who all have the opportunity to create some steamy chemistry with the women. As if that weren't enough to throw the women off-track, the show’s dreamy beachside filming location makes the illusion of romance much easier for the fboys to fake. Which might lead you to wonder...
Where was FBoy Island Filmed?
The show was filmed in the Cayman Islands. Consisting of three separate islands, the Caymans are within the Caribbean Sea and are also considered a British Overseas Territory. More specifically, the 27 single cast members will be staying on Grand Cayman.
Though Grand Cayman is the most populated of the three islands, the show takes place in an isolated beachside area. CJ, Nakia, and Sarah stay in a huge villa that’s exactly what you would imagine on a tropical island. And while the guys aren’t living as large, their beautiful cottages still give the resort fantasy.
Check it all out yourself on HBO Max. The first three episodes have premiered and are now available for viewing. Each Thursday until August 12, the episodes will be released three at a time. If you’re going to wait until they’re all out to binge, you might want to avoid social media spoilers.
