If you owned a TV between 2008 and 2015, then you've likely been exposed to the Duggar family from TLC's reality series, 19 Kids and Counting, and its spin-off series, Counting On. Across seven seasons, the original reality series followed Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their 19 children as they navigated day-to-day life in Tontitown, Arkansas. The show was ultimately canceled in 2015 following allegations that the eldest Duggar sibling, Josh, had sexually abused several minor girls.

Jim Bob and Michelle still live in Tontitown and have kept a low profile since Josh was imprisoned for possessing child pornography in April 2021. They last posted on Instagram in May 2022, but ahead of Prime Video's Shiny Happy People docuseries release, Jim Bob and Michelle issued a statement on their website about the new show.

"The recent 'documentary' that talks about our family is sad because in it we see the media and those with ill intentions hurting people we love," the statement said. "Like other families, ours too has experienced the joys and heartbreaks of life, just in a very public format. This 'documentary' paints so much and so many in a derogatory and sensationalized way because sadly that's the direction of entertainment these days."

Along with some family members and close friends, Jill Duggar Dillard is speaking about her experience in Bill Gothard's controversial religious group, Institute in Basic Life Principles, for the first time in Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets.

If you're wondering what the rest of Jim Bob and Michelle's children are up to these days, we've outlined everything we know about all 19 Duggar kids and where they are now below.

Josh Duggar

In 2022, 35-year-old Josh Duggar was found guilty of receiving and possessing child pornography. According to the New York Post, he was originally sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison before his sentence was extended by two months. The eldest Duggar sibling is as of February 2023, reportedly in solitary confinement after being caught with a cell phone.

Per the New York Post, Josh's release date is October 2, 2032. Upon release, he will be supervised by a parole officer for 20 years and he will be prohibited from unsupervised contact with minors — including his seven children.

Jana Duggar

According to her Instagram account, 33-year-old Jana still lives with her parents, helps look after her younger siblings, and dabbles in gardening and home renovation.

In December 2021, she was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Today reports that she wrote a statement on her Instagram stories explaining that one of the children wandered outside alone while she was babysitting them.

"This resulted in a written citation, as well as a follow-up with child welfare who concluded that it was an accident and the child was unharmed," she wrote. "They recognized it was a case of a child slipping out of the house when you turn your back for a moment. It all happened so quickly and was scary."

Per Today, Jana pleaded guilty and was fined $880 in January 2022.

John-David Duggar

Jana's twin brother, John-David, was elected as a constable in Washington County, Arkansas in 2014 and works as a pilot. He got married in 2018 and had two children with his wife, Abbie Burnett.

People reported that John-David crashed a plane in Waverly, Tennessee because of a double engine failure in October 2021. No one was injured, and he released a statement about the experience a few months later in January 2022.

"An emergency landing or any kind of plane crash is a scary thing, but it's exactly what pilots are trained for," John-David and Abbie wrote in the statement. "We are so thankful for God's protection, as we all walked away without injuries when this happened last October. We so appreciate the love and care so many have expressed toward us!"

Jill Duggar

As of 2023, Jill is a certified midwife and runs her own YouTube channel where she posts family and lifestyle content. In the Prime Video docuseries, Shiny Happy People, Jill speaks out about her experience in the IBLP growing up. Per Insider, she said she felt "obligated" to take part in an interview with Fox News in which she said she forgave her brother Josh for allegedly sexually abusing her.

The 32-year-old had previously revealed that she wants to distance herself from the Duggars after she and her husband, Derick, had allegedly not been paid for their appearances on Counting On in September 2020. The couple hired lawyers to recover the missing payments, and the TLC network declined to comment on their claims in a People report.

"There's been some distancing there," Jill said in a video uploaded to her YouTube channel. "We're not on the best terms with some of my family. We've had some disagreements and stuff, but we're working toward healing definitely and restoration."

Jessa Duggar

30-year-old Jessa is still married to her husband, Ben Seewald, who she met while filming 19 Kids and Counting in 2015. They have four children together and now, Jessa works as a content creator on Instagram and YouTube. Most of her content features her young children.

Jinger Duggar

Jinger got married to Jeremy Vuolo in a 2016 episode of Counting On. The couple is still together and have two children. People reported that they moved from Texas to Los Angeles so Jeremy could begin his studies at The Master's Seminary in 2019.

In 2023, she published a memoir, Becoming Free Indeed: My Story of Disentangling Faith From Fear, that details her experience with the IBLP organization, how she began to question its values, and how she ultimately transitioned away from its teachings.

Also in 2023, Jinger appeared in an interview with People, where she discussed her reaction to the docuseries. "I was actually approached and asked to participate in the docuseries, but I thought that from my perspective, I really wanted to make sure that I was able to share my story in my own words and in my own timing," she said. "So that's why I wrote Becoming Free Indeed, was to share more of my journey out of IBLP's teachings. I wanted to be able to share it in a way that was, like, God-honoring and hopefully sharing my story in a balanced way."

The mother of two revealed that she "had heard a little bit" about Shiny Happy People from her sister Jill. Jinger said that she is proud to "be able to share my story from my perspective," but she's happy that her sister "has her voice" as well. "And I am excited to hear what she has to say, even in this documentary," she concluded.
