Where to dine-in, get takeout for Thanksgiving at Salem-Keizer area restaurants

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and local restaurants are ready to help feed folks for the occasion.

These Salem-Keizer area restaurants are offering dine-in on Thanksgiving Day or meals you can pick-up. Included are the meal items, dates available and to-order-by as well as cost.

Salem-area restaurants offering meals made in advance

ACME Café

ACME Café is accepting orders for Thanksgiving meals-to-go now until Nov. 20.

These meals include a choice of turkey breast or spiral sliced ham, smashed red potatoes, bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, ACME brown gravy, dinner rolls and choice of pumpkin or Dutch apple pie. Each meal feeds about two people and costs $27.

For folks wanting entire pies, Dutch apple ($26), pumpkin ($22) and key lime ($36) pies are also available to order.

Miller's BBQ & Cafe

Miller's BBQ & Cafe is taking orders for Thanksgiving with a barbecue spin.

The dinner for three includes choice of turkey or ham (upgrade to brisket or prime rib for additional $5), 32 ounce sides of mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing and corn as well as dinner rolls and pumpkin pie. The dinner (without upgrades) is $75, and an added $25 per additional serving.

Available a la carte are smoked turkey between 10-14 pounds and apple pie glazed smoked ham (8 pounds) both priced at $60 each, 4 pounds of prime rib for $100 or 8 pounds for $200. Smoked brisket (14-16 pounds) is $150.

Wild Pear

Wild Pear is again offering individually packaged dinner, sides and dessert options for Thanksgiving. Orders will be available for pick up on Nov. 21 between 3-5 p.m. or Nov. 22 between noon and 6 p.m.

The packaged dinner options include either a turkey, ham or gluten free (with either turkey or ham). Each meal comes with mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, Italian sausage stuffing, cranberry orange relish and pumpkin bread pudding. The meals are $32.99 for turkey, $29.99 for ham and the gluten free are $33.99 for turkey and $30.99 for ham.

Traditional Thanksgiving items include larger portions of the packed full dinner meats, sides and sauces plus Wild Pear salad, butternut squash soup and rosemary sea salt focaccia. Desserts available include pumpkin bread pudding, key lime pie and pumpkin pie squares.

Orders can be made online at wildpearcatering.com or by calling the catering office at 503-378-7515. Turkey orders must be placed by Nov. 17 and all other orders must be in by Nov. 20. The restaurant will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Restaurants open Thanksgiving Day in Salem-Kiezer

McGrath's Fish House

McGrath's Fish House will be open Thanksgiving Day and is now accepting preorders for the feast as takeout.

The Thanksgiving meal includes salad with sourdough bread, roasted turkey breast with dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, baked yams, vegetables, cranberry sauce and choice of pumpkin or apple pie. This meal is $19.95 per person, children 12 and under are $7.95. The regular menu will also be available.

Magnolia on the Green

Magnolia on the Green is offering a three-course and an ala carte menu for Thanksgiving. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

The three-course menu includes butternut squash bisque and a Thanksgiving dinner consisting of roasted turkey, prime rib, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes with gravy and maple glazed yams and dessert. The meal is $55.95 for adults and $30 for children.

The Thanksgiving dinner is also available as a single item, plus main dishes of prime rib, ribeye steak, pistachio crusted salmon and butternut gorgonzola ravioli. Appetizers include fried Brussels sprouts, butternut squash bisque and bacon wrapped dates. Desserts include pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin pecan praline cake and flourless chocolate torte.

The View Restaurant

The View Restaurant is offering a traditional Thanksgiving Day buffet. Items include roasted turkey, prime rib, casseroles and pumpkin plus berry pies.

The buffet will run on Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Reservations are required. Adults are $35, children 4-12 are $17 and children under 4 are free. Reservations can be made by calling 503-393-4653.
