Where are you celebrating National Ice Cream Day July 16? Here are some suggestions

It seems every other day is a "national food day," but when it's hot and humid and that food is ice cream, it's all the more reason to enjoy National Ice Cream Day. The July 16 "holiday," if you can call it that, dates to 1984 when President Ronald Reagan signed the day into law by proclamation.

So where are you going to cool off and treat yourself? Our list of local spots, including some newly opened ones (hello Tutto Cream in Hawthorne and MJay's Ice Cream Bar in Cortlandt Manor!) follows. Remember, too, Penny Lick is opening a second location later next month (fingers crossed!) in Mamaroneck while Constantino's should open in mid-August in Hartsdale.
