‘The Wheel of Time’ Is Finally Here! Here’s When New Episodes Come Out

One of the most highly anticipated shows of 2021 is finally here! Amazon Prime’s The Wheel of Time just released its first three episodes on November 19. And so far, so good with more than 10,500 online reviews in less than a single week. “We can firmly say that Wheel of Time was the most watched series premiere of the year and one of the top five series launches of all time for Prime Video,” Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke told Deadline.
The show, which is based on Robert Jordan’s fantasy novel series, stars Rosamund Pike and follows the story of her character, Moiraine, a member of an incredibly powerful group of women called the Aes Sedai. She travels to the town of Two Rivers to find five young villagers to set out on an epic and dangerous journey all around the world, training them and testing their limits. One of the teens is the prophesied Dragon Reborn, the reincarnation of an ancient power that will ultimately save or destroy humanity.
Although not all fans of the books like this live-action take on the epic fantasy, it’s still worth the watch if you’re missing the genre and looking for something Game of Thrones–esque. So for those of us who are sticking by this story, here’s everything you need to know about new Wheel of Time episode releases.
When do new Wheel of Time episodes come out? How can I watch them?
While the first three episodes came out during premiere week, that’s not the case for the rest of season 1. Beginning November 26, one new episode will be coming out every Friday.
Most shows on Amazon Prime drop episodes at 12 a.m. GMT or 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. It’ll likely be the same for The Wheel of Time.

How long is an episode of The Wheel of Time?
Each episode is about an hour long. So strap yourself in, get cozy, and grab a friend (and lots of snacks) if you plan on watching the first few eps in one sitting.
How many episodes will there be?
The Wheel of Time is going to have a total of eight episodes for season 1. So as soon as you’re done with the fourth episode, you’re already halfway through!
Will there be more than season 1? What about a Wheel of Time season 2?
Before season 1 even dropped, the series was already confirmed for a season 2. There hasn’t been a premiere date announced just yet, but the cast already started filming in July 2021. If we’re going by the timeline for the first season, it could come out around ~February 2022.
