The contestant needs to be introduced to a delicious deli staple.

A Wheel of Fortune contestant was given a hard time on social media after failing to solve an obvious puzzle under the "Food & Drink" category.

In the March 1 episode, contestant Nina picked most of the correct letters, that spelled out a delicious East Coast staple. She then lost a chance at immediately solving the puzzle when her wheel spin landed on "Bankrupt."

Contestant Angie then figured out all remaining letters except two, spelling out "WARM TOASTED BA_ELS WITH LO_ AND CREAM CHEESE."

Host Pat Sajak asked Angie to give the answer a go, and her guess was hilariously wrong: warm toasted bagels with low and cream cheese.

When it was back to being Nina's turn, she correctly guessed it. "Yeah, that's a much better recipe," Sajak joked.

Wheel of Fortune viewers took to Twitter to remark how baffling it was that Angie hadn't heard of the term for brined salmon.

"Omg on wheel of fortune someone just guessed warm toasted bagels with LOW and cream cheese instead of lox that is so embarrassing I would never show my face again," wrote a fan.

Another had a nastier take on Angie's blunder, writing, "In the entire 500,000 year history of wheel of Fortune, these may be the single absolute dimwit contestants I have ever seen, and I mean that in the purest fashion. Who’s never heard of LOX?"

A viewer named Em, who was watching with her mother, also shared her mom's heated reaction to the mistake.

But, like some Wheel of Fortune fans mentioned in their replies to Em's tweets, "lox" is not a widely used term outside of the tri-state area.

Perhaps someone should introduce Angie to the wonders of a lox and cream cheese bagel.
