To help plan your Easter weekend shopping, we’ve rounded up a list of stores closed on Easter Sunday 2023.

Grocery chains including Sam’s Club and Costco will be closed altogether on Easter, meaning you’ll need to plan ahead for your Easter meal (and if you’re looking for some inspiration in that department, here are 40 easy Easter dinner ideas for last-minute planners). But here's a list of grocery stores that will be open on Easter, in case you need some last-minute items. And there are several major chain restaurants that will be open for Easter meals as well.
Several major retailers including HomeGoods, Barnes & Noble and JCPenney will also remain closed on Easter Sunday, according to HolidayShoppingHours.com, which tracks store opening hours around the country. (Note that some franchise locations, as well as stores located within outlets or airports, may have different holiday hours—so when in doubt, call ahead to confirm Easter opening details with your local store.)
