We all know Luke Grimes for his acting prowess. With characters like Kayce Dutton on Yellowstone and Jake in Netflix's Happiness for Beginners, he's proven himself in the acting world, but Grimes has bigger plans for his career. He's finally moving toward his dream of becoming a country music star, and we aren't disappointed. So far Grimes has released four songs including "Oh Ohio," "No Horse To Ride," "Playin' On The Tracks," and "Hold On."
What's one thing all four of these songs have in common? They're all a part of Grimes's EP, Pain Pills or Pews, dropping October 20. Though fans can stream the first four songs now, there will be four additional songs on the EP for a total of eight tracks. Along with his released songs, the track list includes: "Burn," "Where It's Blue," "Ghost Of Who We Were," and "Ain't Dead Yet." Of the eight tracks, Luke wrote six of them himself.
To promote his long-awaited EP, Grimes is heading out on tour this Fall to give fans a chance to hear his new music live. The tour includes shows in Columbus, OH; Philadelphia, PA; Minneapolis, MN; Rosemont, IL; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Washington, DC; and Boston, MA. Grimes will also make special appearances at this year's Pilgrimage Music and Culture Festival in Franklin, TN, and he'll return to Stagecoach in Indio, CA in 2024.
Luke shared the news with his fans on Instagram and wrote, "I dont deserve this. Full stop. Yet, here it is. Im so grateful to everyone who has helped me get here. A dream of putting music out in the world and getting to share it live is now something of a reality. Thank you for listening and showing up. Pain Pills Or Pews EP out October 20th. Tour on sale Friday."
Fans replied with comments like, "Don't be so humble! You deserve all the success and recognition in this world 🙌" and "Of course you absolutely deserve this! Your talent your dedication to what you love to do. You were meant to follow your dreams, to become the brilliant actor and singer that you are!"
Inspired by the likes of Jason Isbell, Colter Wall, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, and Townes Van Zandt, we're sure Grimes' EP will land him on every country music fan's playlist in no time!
