What's A Horror Movie So Disturbing, You Actually Had To Just Stop Watching It?

No matter how much you might enjoy the horror genre as a whole, there's probably been one (or 12) movies that you've stumbled across in your time as a fan that crossed a line for you — maybe even to the point where you needed to turn it off.

Warner Bros.

So, with that in mind, I want to know: What's a horror movie so disturbing, you couldn't make it to the end? Like, I'm not talking about "so-badly-made-I-had-to-stop-watching" movies or "so-boring-I-turned-it-off-and-fell-asleep" movies — I mean "so-messed-up-I-had-to-turn-it-off-before-I-needed-therapy" movies.

Universal Pictures

Maybe you turned off Hereditary (2018) because of the shocking gore, and still wish you could get the little bit of it you *did* see permanently erased from your brain.

Or perhaps it was a foreign film you unsuspectedly stumbled upon, like Audition (1999), that had you quit about halfway through when you decided, "Hmm, that's enough torture for...a lifetime. I'm good."

Heck, maybe it was a "classic," and now's the time you're ready to announce to the world that you never *actually* finished watching The Exorcist (1973).
