What's Your Fancy?: The White Lotus's Alexandra Daddario on Her Hawaiian Travel Essentials

In our new series, "What's Your Fancy?," we ask expert tastemakers to share the little luxuries essential to their day-to-day lives.

Alexandra Daddario spent much of fall 2020 quarantined at the Four Seasons Maui shooting The White Lotus. The HBO series focuses on the 1% on vacation and the inconveniences they string together into perceived problems. Daddario plays Rachel, a fledgling journalist 30-something on her honeymoon with her poorly behaved new husband (played by Jake Lacy). Over the course of the trip, their relationship falters, with Rachel debating her choice in spouse as her husband embarks on an endless crusade to switch the couple to the "better" hotel suite he feels is rightfully theirs.

"It's satirical," Daddario says of the show. "I'm not a comedian, but this humor, I think comes from reality. A lot of life, as dark and tragic and horrible as it [can be], is very funny."
